Deewakar Granites

It's a lot of work running Deewakar Granites over here in Plot No G 1-89 of the Industrial Area. This is the third phase of the area, so it’s mostly other workshops and factories around us. The slabs are heavy and they take up a lot of space in the yard. We spend a good chunk of our time just moving things around with the old crane. It’s noisy because of the machines cutting through the stone, but that’s just the sound of work getting done. We’ve been at this plot for a while, and it’s mostly just us and the heavy stone. There isn't much shade out in the yard, so the sun hits the granite slabs pretty hard during the day. We get a lot of dust on our clothes by the time evening rolls around. It’s not a clean job, but we’re used to it by now. The third phase is a bit far out, so it’s usually quiet except for the trucks coming in and out. We don't have a big fancy showroom with glass doors. If you come by, you’ll just see the raw slabs and the guys working in their shirtsleeves. It’s a practical place for practical work. We handle the stone every day and we know how heavy and cold it feels in the morning. People come by when they need something solid for their floors. We just show them what we’ve got on the racks.
