Ashoka Marble

You can find Ashoka Marble right opposite the R.P.O. office on Bhilmal Road. It’s a busy stretch of road, and having the government office across from us makes it easy for people to find where we are located. We have been here for a good bit of time now. The yard is filled with marble slabs that we’ve brought in from the quarries. It’s a lot of white and grey stone everywhere you look. Working with marble is a bit different than other stones; it feels a bit more delicate even though it’s still very heavy. We spend our mornings cleaning off the dust so people can see the patterns in the stone properly. Bhilmal Road has a lot of trucks passing through, so it’s never really quiet around here. We don’t have a fancy waiting room or anything like that. Most people just walk around the yard with us to look at the different pieces. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We get our hands dirty every single day. If you need to find us, just look for the R.P.O. office and we’re right there across the way. We don’t go in for big marketing or polished presentations. We just show what we have in stock at the moment. The weather can be tough sometimes, but the work stays the same. We just keep stacking the marble and talking to the people who come in to see us. It’s a local way of doing things, nothing more.
