Rudraksh Granites

The yard is tucked away in the Third Phase of the Riico Industrial Area. If you look for the Vodafone Tower, you are basically right on top of us. Being in an industrial zone means there is always noise from other factories, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We handle mostly granites here. The slabs are heavy and take a lot of effort to move without chipping them. We don't have a polished front office with air conditioning or anything like that. Usually, someone is out there with a tape measure checking sizes for a customer. The ground is often covered in stone dust and water from when we spray the slabs to show the real color. It’s hard work, especially when the heat hits the metal roof. We get people coming in looking for specific patterns for their kitchens or floors. Sometimes the colors don't match exactly what they saw last week, because that’s just how natural stone is. Every batch is a little different. We spend our days loading trucks and talking to drivers who are usually in a big hurry. It’s not a glamorous business, just honest labor. Sometimes we have tea while waiting for the crane to get fixed. We know the neighbors in the industrial area well. We’ve been at this for a long time, just keeping things moving one slab at a time and trying to stay out of the dust.
