Rising Stones

We are set up in the 3rd Phase Industrial Eastate, and it’s a pretty busy part of town for businesses like ours. Rising Stones is basically a big warehouse and a lot of outdoor storage space. We spend the morning unloading trucks that come in from the quarries. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and you have to be careful where you stand. The industrial estate has a certain rhythm to it, with the trucks and the forklifts always moving. We don't have a lot of decorative stuff in our office. It’s just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of sample pieces lying around. Our floor is usually covered in a bit of grit from the stones. We like the work because it’s tangible. You can feel the weight of what you're doing. Some days the weather is nice and we work outside most of the time. Other days it’s too hot and we stay under the tin roof. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. People usually find us because they are already in the area for other industrial needs. We just make sure the slabs are safe and the orders are ready on time. It’s a straightforward operation here at the 3rd Phase. We’ve been doing this for a while and we know the routine by heart. It’s just about getting the job done.
