Rajendra Stones

We have been here in Village Madalpura for quite a while now. Our place is right on the Bhinmal Highway, which stays busy with trucks all day. We mostly just deal with the local stone trade and keep things moving. I grew up around here and the dust from the yard just feels normal now. It takes a lot of patience to deal with the dust. We have big slabs of stone lined up out front for anyone to see. People usually stop by when they are building houses in the nearby spots like Bhagli Sindlan. It is really hard work moving these heavy pieces around under the sun. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic on the highway, but that is just how it goes. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. It is just a simple yard with some sheds to keep the tools dry. We know most of the folks living around this part of the country. If someone needs a piece of granite or marble for a kitchen, they usually know where to find us. The sun gets really hot out here in the afternoons so we take breaks for tea. It is a simple life and we just focus on the stones. Sometimes the rainy season slows everything down because the ground gets muddy. We have some strong guys who help with the loading. We have seen a lot of changes in Madalpura over the years. There is way more traffic now than before. But the stones stay the same.
