Raghav Granite Industries

We are out on Bhinmal Road in Bhagli Sindhlan. It’s a bit of a drive out into the district, but that is where the granite work happens. Raghav Granite Industries is basically a big shed and a yard full of stone blocks. The ground is always covered in that fine white dust from the saws. We spend our days cutting big slabs of granite into different sizes for construction projects. It’s heavy, loud work. The machines need constant maintenance because the stone dust gets into everything and causes trouble with the gears. I spend a lot of time making sure the water flow is right for the cutting blades so they don't overheat or break. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. People mostly find us because they saw our trucks on the road or someone told them we have good blocks of stone. It’s a very practical business. We deal with the weather, which can be really harsh out here in this part of the country. When it rains, the yard gets muddy and when it’s hot, the sun reflects off the stone and makes it even worse. But we’ve been doing this for years. We just take the orders, cut the stone, and load the trucks. It’s a straightforward process without any frills. Most of our customers are builders who have been coming to us for a long time. We just keep doing what we know and hope the machines stay running.
