Nakoda Tile

Being in the Main Market near the High Court means there is always noise and movement outside. We are tucked into Manpura Colony. At Nakoda Tile, we deal with a lot of foot traffic. People are always walking by, popping their heads in to ask about prices. We have samples leaned up against the walls. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes because tiles take up a lot of room. We spend our day checking orders and making sure the deliveries are right. The floor is usually covered in little bits of cardboard and plastic from the packaging. We don’t have a big office or anything. There’s a desk in the corner where we keep the ledger and the phone. It’s an honest way to make a living. You see all sorts of people, from contractors to families trying to fix up a kitchen. We know most of the shopkeepers around here. Sometimes we help each other out if a delivery truck is blocking the lane. It’s just how things are in this part of town. We don’t do anything fancy with the display. You see a tile you like, you check the texture, and we tell you if it’s in the back. It’s a bit loud with the market sounds coming in, but we are used to it by now. We just try to keep the stock organized and the customers satisfied without making a big fuss.
