Manidhari Granite

Down here in Bhagli Sindhlan village, things move at a different pace. We are located right in the heart of the Jalore area, where granite is part of the landscape. Our yard is filled with big slabs of stone that come in from the nearby quarries. It is a dusty job and the sun hits the stones hard during the day. We spend most of our time moving blocks and showing people what we have available. There are no fancy showrooms here. Just the raw material and the sounds of the machines cutting through the rock. People from the village know us well. We’ve been at this post in Bhagli Sindhlan for quite some time now. Some days it is just us and the heavy machinery. We don't have a big marketing team or a shiny website. If someone needs stone for a floor or a wall, they usually just drive out here to talk to us directly. We show them what we’ve got stacked up. It’s hard work, especially when the loaders are busy. The dust gets on everything, even our clothes and the small office chairs. We take our time with the orders because stone isn't something you can rush. We just try to stay busy and keep the yard tidy, though that is hard with so much granite coming and going. That’s pretty much what we do every day. No big story, just stones and sweat. We often eat our lunch sitting on the smaller blocks under the shade of the mango tree.
