Mahaveer Stone

We've been here at Bhagali Sindhhian for a good while now. The yard is usually full of dust and heavy slabs, but that's just how the stone business goes. Most people find us easily enough on Bhinmal Road. It's a busy spot. We handle different kinds of stone, moving them around with the crane every day. Sometimes it's loud, and the sun gets pretty hot out there on the yard. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. Just a small desk and a lot of stone. People come by looking for something for their floors or walls, and we show them what we've got stacked up. It’s heavy work, honestly. My hands are usually stained from the grit. We try to keep things organized, but when a big shipment comes in, it gets a bit crowded for a day or two. My brother and I usually manage things. We don't talk much, we just get to the cutting and loading. If you're driving down towards Bhinmal, you'll see our sign. It’s nothing special, just a place where we work with rocks. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but we’re still here doing the same thing. It's a simple life, really. Just dealing with the stone and making sure it gets to where it needs to go without breaking. That's the main thing we worry about every single morning when we open up.
