Kanha Granites

Our shop is at A-145 in the Sharan Complex, right in Rampura Colony. It is not a huge place, just a standard unit in the complex. We keep our granite samples out where people can touch them and see the colors clearly. Most of the day is spent talking to people who are building houses nearby. The air in the colony is usually quiet except for the sound of someone cutting stone or a truck delivering a new load. We have a small desk tucked in the corner where we do the math and write out the slips for the customers. It gets quite hot in the summer months, so we keep the door wide open. The floor is made of concrete and it is always a bit grey from the dust. We have worked with stone for a long time, so we know how it behaves when it is cut. Sometimes the slabs come in and they aren't exactly what we expected, so we have to sort through them ourselves. It is a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around with the metal rollers. We don't have any fancy displays or special lighting. It is just us and the stone. Customers usually come in with their measurements on a scrap of paper. We show them what we have in the back and talk about the prices. It is a straightforward way of doing business in a busy colony like this.
