About Ganga Granite – Building & Construction Material in Jalore
Working in the Riico Industrial Area Phase-iii means there is never really any silence. At Ganga Granite, we are right there at G-225, surrounded by other sheds and factories. It gets loud with all the cutting and the trucks backing in. I spend most of my day looking at granite slabs. They are heavy and cold to the touch in the morning. By noon, the whole place feels like a furnace. We do not have much time for chatting because there is always a load coming in or going out. The dust gets everywhere, in your hair and in your shoes. We move the blocks around with the crane mostly. You have to be careful where you stand. The floor is always a bit wet from the water we use for the blades. It is hard work, but it is what we do. Phase-iii is a big place and it is easy to get lost if you do not know the numbers. We have been at this spot for a while. Usually, the workers from the nearby units come over for tea in the afternoon. We talk about the weather or how much work is left. Ganga Granite is just a regular part of this industrial zone. Nothing more, nothing less. We just focus on getting the granite cut and stacked. It isn’t glamorous work but it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset. There is always something to lift or move.
