Arjun Granites

We've been at Factory No.102 on Bhinmal Road for quite some time now. It’s mostly just us and the machines cutting through granite slabs all day. You can’t miss the place because of the white dust that usually covers the yard. My brother and I started this because we knew the stone business around here, and it seemed like a practical way to make a living. Most days are spent checking the cutters or talking to drivers who bring in the raw blocks. We don’t have a fancy office or anything like that. There is a small desk in the corner of the shed where we keep the papers. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit outside and wait for it to come back. People from town come by when they are building a house and need something for their floors or counters. We show them what’s in the yard and they pick what they like. It’s loud work and your hands get rough, but that’s just how it is with stone. We try to keep things organized but when a big shipment comes in, the whole place looks a bit messy for a few days. We don't do much talking, mostly just measuring and cutting. It’s a simple setup here on Bhinmal Road, nothing more than a working factory where we get the job done without much fuss and keep things moving.
