Shri Halsiddhanath Farmer Producercompany Limited

Our group, Shri Halsiddhanath Farmer Producercompany Limited, runs out of Sangeeta Pratap Jadhav’s house at number 439 in Nilewadi. Being in Kolhapur, we are surrounded by fields and people who have been farming for generations. It is a quiet place where everybody knows each other's business. We didn’t want to go to the big city to set up an office, so we just used what we had right here. Most days you will find a few of us sitting around discussing the current rates for crops or complaining about the cost of fertilizer. It is not a fancy operation with glass walls or computers everywhere. We have a table, some chairs, and a lot of registers to fill out. The 416113 area is home to us and that is where we stay. Sangeeta helps keep everything organized because the government rules for these producer companies are actually quite complicated. We just want to make sure the farmers in Nilewadi get a fair shake when it comes to selling their produce. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet is slow, so we just wait it out. It is a practical way of working. We don't use big words or try to act like we are some huge corporation. We are just local people from Kolhapur trying to make the farm life a bit more sustainable for our families.
