Photon Solar Power Generation Farmerproducer Company Limited

Our group is based over in Sajgaon, which is part of the Pachora area in Jalgaon. It’s a farmer producer setup, so it is really just a bunch of us coming together to figure out solar power. Photon Solar Power Generation Farmerproducer Company Limited was put together because the sun in Jalgaon is strong and it seemed like a waste not to use it for the farms. We work out of house number 291. It is a simple place, mostly just where we meet to talk about the projects. We aren't engineers from the city, just local people trying to make the farming side of things a bit more modern with solar energy. It took a while to get everyone on board and understand how the panels work and what the maintenance looks like. Some days the dust is a real problem for the equipment, so we have to spend time cleaning everything off. It's dusty work. Being in a rural area means we have to be our own mechanics a lot of the time. We don't have some big corporate headquarters. It’s just us in the village. We try to help the members get their power sorted so the crops get watered without spending a fortune on diesel or waiting for the grid. It’s hard work and the paperwork for a producer company is a bit of a headache, but we stay at it every day to make it work.
