In Neri Bk, there is a lane called Beldar Galli, and that is where you will find us at House Number 529. This is a company started by the women of this village. Our daily lives are a mix of taking care of our families and working the land. We meet up in the afternoon when the sun is too hot to be in the fields. The house in Beldar Galli is our central spot where we keep our records and plan our next steps. It’s often noisy with the sounds of the neighborhood and kids running around. We aren't doing this to get rich quick; we are doing it because we want our village to do better. We handle whatever crops are in season, whether it’s grain or vegetables. Sorting through the harvest takes a lot of time and our backs often ache by the end of the day. We don't have any fancy brochures or a website. We just talk to each other and work with our hands. Sometimes we disagree on how things should be done, but we always figure it out over a cup of tea. It’s just regular village life, focused on the earth and the people who live on it. We hope that by working together, the farming stays sustainable for the next generation of women in Neri Bk.
