Horafadi Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Horafali in the Akkalkuwa area of Nandurbar district. Most of us here are local women who spend our days out in the fields. We started this because doing things on your own is hard, especially when you are trying to sell what you grow or get seeds. We work from the place of Lasma Devana Vasave. It isn’t some big office building with glass walls, just a regular spot where we can get together and talk about the crops. Nandurbar is home, and we know the land here pretty well. Farming is what we do, so having this company helps us keep things organized. We aren’t experts in business talk, just people who know how to plant and harvest. Sometimes the weather doesn’t help much, but that’s just how life is here. We try to make sure the women farmers in our circle have a way to move their produce. It takes a lot of time to get everything right, from the paperwork to the actual field work. We just take it one day at a time. The address at Horafali is where you’ll find us if there’s a meeting or some work to finish up. It’s a quiet place, mostly busy during the harvest months. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment yet, but we manage with what we’ve got. This is just our way of looking after our own families and making sure the farming stays steady.
