Gaurishakti Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited is our group in Kingaon Bk. We are based at Bhagavan Nivaji Patil’s place in Taluka Yawal, pin 425302. This is a women’s group, and we’ve been working together for a while now. We decided to make it official with this company name. Kingaon is a place where farming is the main thing everyone does. We spend our days out in the dirt, and our evenings are often spent talking about the work at Bhagavan’s place. It’s a simple house, and we use it to store our records and have our meetings. We aren't looking to be famous or anything; we just want to make sure our produce gets sold properly. The weather in Yawal can be quite harsh, so we have to plan carefully. We talk about what seeds to use and when the best time to plant is. It’s all very practical stuff. There are no corporate speeches here. We speak the local language and keep things honest. Sometimes we disagree on how to do things, but we always figure it out in the end. It’s about helping each other out as neighbors and fellow farmers. We are proud of what we do with our hands, and having this company helps us feel a bit more secure about our future. Most days we are just tired but happy when the crops look healthy in the fields.
