Eastern Ri Bhoi Organic Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are based over at Plot Number 28 in Pankaj Nagar, which is part of the Chopda area in Jalgaon. It is a bit of a trek for some of our members to get here, but this is where we keep the office for Eastern Ri Bhoi Organic Farmer Producer Company Limited and do all the planning. We focus on organic farming because that is what people are asking for these days, and it's also just better for the fields around Jalgaon. We started this whole thing because doing everything on your own is getting harder and harder. Between the water issues and the high cost of everything, we figured it was much smarter to work as a group. We spend a lot of time talking about soil quality and how to keep things growing without using those heavy chemicals. It is not always easy, and sometimes the yields aren't as high as we would like, but it feels like the right way to farm. We have a very small setup here in Pankaj Nagar where we track the shipments and talk to the farmers about their progress. It is a lot of back and forth on the phone. Some of us have been farming for thirty years, and some are just starting out. We try to keep it all very down to earth. There is no big marketing team or anything like that here. It is just us trying to get the organic produce from the farm to the trucks without any fuss.
