Dhandai Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited

Dhandai Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited is a group of women farmers from the Mhasdi area in Sakri, which is part of Dhule district. We are based out of Vasantrao Sitaram Deore’s place. Starting this company was a way for us women to have more of a say in how our crops are sold and how our farms are run. Usually, the business side of farming can be confusing, but when we work together, it feels much more manageable. We spend our days out in the fields, but we meet up here to talk about the practical side of things. It’s not a fancy setup. It’s just a room where we keep our books and talk about seeds and fertilizers. We all live around here, so we know the land and we know each other. The goal is just to keep our farms going and make sure our families are okay. We don't use big words or have complicated plans. We just look at what needs to be done each season and try to do it right. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate, or the prices in the market drop, but having this group means we aren't facing those problems alone. It's hard work, but we are proud of what we do. If you are in Mhasdi, you'll find us working away, just trying to make a decent living from the soil. We aren't doing it for fame, just for the community.
