Down here in Dalwade, which is in the Sindkheda part of Dhule, things move at a certain pace. We started Buraimai Farmers Producer Company Limited because we needed a better way to handle our business as a group. Farming in this part of Maharashtra has its ups and downs, and usually, the downs feel a bit heavier when you're by yourself. We aren't some corporate office with people in suits. We’re just neighbors who have known each other for years. We meet up in the village to talk about what we’re going to do for the next season. Sometimes we disagree, but that’s just how it goes when everyone has their own way of doing things. Our main goal is just to make sure we can get our crops to the market without losing too much money in the process. We share what we know about the soil and the seeds. It’s honest work, even if it’s tiring. The office is right here in the village, nothing special to look at. We spend most of our time outside anyway. We don't have a lot of money for advertising or anything like that, so we just rely on word of mouth and the work we do every day. It’s just us trying to make a living and keeping the farms in Dhule running as best as we can manage.
