Victor Drop Forging (Pvt.) Ltd

The heat in the forge at C-40 in Focal Point (Extension) is something you never really get used to, even after working here for a decade. Victor Drop Forging (Pvt.) Ltd has been operating out of this spot for a long time, and we’ve seen this extension area change quite a bit over the years. We still get a lot of our mail at Post Box No.486, though these days most things happen over the phone or on the computer, which is fine with me. Our main work is with the hammers and the hot steel. It is loud, heavy work, and at the end of a shift, everyone is usually pretty worn out. We aren't doing anything fancy here; we just make the parts that other companies need to build their own machines. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we all have to sit around and wait for it to come back, which is frustrating, but that’s just life in the industrial sector. The guys on the floor know their jobs really well. They can often tell if a piece isn’t coming out right just by looking at the color of the metal. We try to keep the place as clean as you can keep a forging plant, which isn't very clean at all, honestly. There is always a layer of soot on the windows and the equipment. We don't have a receptionist. Usually, if someone comes by with a question, they just walk into the shed and find us.
