Jagdabay Forgings

If you head down 120 Feet Road in Basti Guzan, you’ll find our forging shop. Jagdabay Forgings is the kind of place where things get hot and heavy. We work with metal all day long. Forging isn’t a clean job, so our clothes usually have some soot or dirt on them by lunch. We use hammers and heat to shape the parts we make. The sound of the shop is pretty loud, so you have to speak up if you want to be heard over the machinery. We’ve been at this location for a good length of time. The neighborhood knows us by the sounds coming from our building. We don’t have any fancy office space with air conditioning. We just have our workstations and the tools we need to get the metal shaped right. It takes a lot of strength and patience to do this kind of work properly. We spend a lot of time watching the fire and making sure the temperature is just right for the steel. Sometimes we get a really big order that keeps us busy for weeks on end. We just take it one piece at a time. It’s a simple life, working with your hands and seeing something tangible at the end of the day. 120 Feet Road is a busy spot, and we are just glad to have our place here in Basti Guzan.
