Sonex Ceramics Jalandhar

Down at No. 73 in the Industrial Estate Extension here in Jalandhar, things are usually pretty busy from the moment we open up. Ceramics are tricky because you have to be careful with how you handle them or things start breaking, and nobody wants that. Our warehouse is full of different patterns and boxes, and we try our best to keep them all sorted by size and type. It’s a lot of manual lifting and checking codes on the side of crates. The extension area is still growing, so there’s always some new building going up or a road being patched nearby. We have a small area where we show people the different designs, but it’s not a fancy gallery. It’s just a place to see what the tiles look like in person. Some days the phone doesn't stop ringing and other days it's just the sound of the packing tape and the pallets being moved. We’ve got a small crew and we’ve all been working together for a while, so we know the routine. Jalandhar gets quite cold in the winter, and the warehouse can feel like an ice box, so we drink a lot of hot tea to keep going. We don't do much in terms of flashy stuff, we just focus on getting the crates loaded safely and making sure the paperwork matches what’s on the truck before it leaves our gate. It is a simple way to spend the day.
