Shivam Marble Store

We’re located over on Malsian Road in Nakodar. It’s easy to find because we are quite close to the Jain Mandir. The temple is a big landmark for everyone around here. Our shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a lot of stone and a small space for us to sit. We spend most of our time out in the yard anyway. Marble is heavy stuff, so there’s always a lot of loading and unloading going on. The road gets busy during the day with people heading into town. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the traffic, but we don’t mind it much anymore. We see a lot of the same faces coming back when they are working on their houses. It’s nice to recognize people. We don’t have a website or a big marketing team, just our name on the wall and the marble sitting out front. My hands are usually covered in stone dust by noon. That’s just part of the job. We try to keep things simple. If someone needs a particular kind of stone, we show them what we have in the stacks. It’s honest work. Sometimes we sit outside when the sun isn't too hot and watch the people going to the mandir. It’s a good community here in Nakodar, and we’re glad to be part of it for all these years. It gets pretty quiet after the sun goes down and the bells stop.
