Being located in Jagdambay Market at Phagwara Gate means we are right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Jalandhar. It is a noisy place, and the market is always full of people buying and selling things. Our office is on the first floor, so we are slightly removed from the street level, but the sounds still drift up. We have been here for a long time, and the office reflects that. The shelves are packed with folders and thick law books that have gathered a bit of dust over the seasons. We don't really use the books as much now that everything is on the computer, but they have been there forever. We have a few wooden desks and some old chairs that aren't the most comfortable, but they do the job. The staff is usually busy typing away or talking to someone who has dropped by with their accounts. We drink a lot of tea and sometimes share some snacks from the stalls downstairs. It’s not a polished environment, and things can get a bit messy when we are in the middle of a big project. We just try to keep the numbers straight and the filings on time. It is honest work and it keeps us occupied from morning until evening. Most people who come here are used to the climb and the noise of Phagwara Gate. It is just part of the routine for us.
