Fortune Exchange & Financial Services

We are based at Peengan Wala Chowk, which is out on Rurka Road near Phagwara. The shop is specifically near the Punjab Gramin Bank in Goraya. It’s a bit of a drive from the very center of Phagwara, but it is a busy little junction where people from the nearby villages all meet up. Fortune Exchange & Financial Services is where we handle money matters and some travel stuff as well. It’s a very functional space. We don't have any fancy decorations or plush carpets. It’s just a counter, some sturdy chairs, and our computers. The chowk outside is usually full of tractors and motorbikes, so it’s never really quiet. We know most of the people who come in because they live in the local area or work at the bank nearby. We spend our days counting, checking rates, and filling out forms. It’s the kind of work that requires a lot of focus, so we don't talk much unless someone is asking a question. Sometimes we have a bit of a wait if several people arrive at once, but nobody seems to mind too much. It’s just how things go in a place like this. We are just a small team trying to keep things moving for the local community. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do every day from morning until evening.
