Out here on Mand Kotli Road, things are a bit quieter than in the big city centers nearby. Our place is pretty easy to spot if you are looking for it. We have been making clothes in this village area for a while now. It is a different pace of life compared to the town. You can see the fields not too far from the workshop doors. We have people from the local area coming in to work every single day. Most of them walk or ride their bikes here in the morning. We handle a lot of different types of garments depending on what is needed. The tables are usually covered in patterns and blue chalk marks. We do not have a big corporate setup with a lot of managers. It is just a few rooms where the actual work gets done. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but we just use that time to talk or have some cold water. We focus a lot on the stitching. If a seam is not straight, we just pull it out and do it over again. It is just the way it has to be done if you want it to look right. We send our stuff out to different places, sometimes quite far away. It is interesting to think about where these shirts end up. We just stay here on the road and keep working.
