We are sitting directly opposite the Indian Overseas Bank, which makes it easy for people to give directions to their friends. Jalandhar City is always moving fast, and our street is no different. We do two things here mostly. One side of the shop is for customers who need their hair or makeup done, and the other side is where we teach students. It’s a bit of a mix, but it works for us. The training part is important because a lot of young people want to learn the salon business. We show them the basics like how to hold scissors and how to mix hair color without making a mess. It gets pretty loud sometimes with everyone talking at once. We’ve been at this address for a while and the building is older, but it’s sturdy. I spend most of my day making sure the students are practicing correctly while also keeping an eye on the front door. We don't have any big corporate rules here. We just try to teach what we know and help people look a bit better before they leave. Hardial Road is a busy spot, so there’s always something to see out the window. If you’re coming from the bank, just look across the street and you’ll see our door. We’re just regular people working hard.
