I Am Still Student

I’m still a student living here in Punjab. My life right now is mostly about going to classes and coming back home to study. I don't have a business or a full-time job yet because I’m still finishing my education. Being a student in Punjab means a lot of things, mostly dealing with the pressure of exams and wondering what kind of career I’ll end up with later on. I spend a lot of time with my friends, usually talking about our future or just hanging out at local spots when we have a break from the books. The weather here can be really intense, very hot in the summer and quite cold in the winter, which affects how much we want to actually go out. My family is supportive, but they definitely want to see me do well, so there is that constant expectation hanging over me. I’m not really sure where I’ll end up after I graduate, but for now, I’m just focused on my daily routine. It’s not a very exciting life to write about, just a lot of reading, writing notes, and trying to keep up with the syllabus. Sometimes I feel like I should be doing more, but being a student is a full-time commitment by itself. I’m just taking it one semester at a time and seeing how things go. Punjab is home, and it’s where I’m figuring things out and trying to make something of myself eventually before the real world starts.
