Our shop is Hindustan Hydraulics, and we are located on GT Road in Suranussi. If you know that stretch of road, you know it’s mostly industrial. We handle a lot of hydraulic work. That means we deal with pumps, cylinders, and a lot of oil. The workshop is a bit dark and always smells like industrial lubricant. It’s heavy work. We have big overhead cranes to move the parts around because they’re too heavy to lift by hand. Most of our workers have been here for a decade or more. They know the sounds the machines make when they’re working right. We don't have a big office upstairs. Our desks are right there near the shop floor so we can see what’s going on. It’s noisy because of the traffic on GT Road and the sound of metal hitting metal. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just have a calendar and some old photos. People come to us from all over the area when their tractors or factory machines break down. We take things apart, fix the seals, and put them back together. It’s slow, careful work. Sometimes we get covered in oil by lunchtime, but we just wash up and keep going. We aren't a fancy company. We are just a group of people who know how hydraulics work and we’ve been doing it right here in Suranussi for a long time. It's just what we do every day.
