Dinesh Puri

I am based at Dr. Savitri Hospital & Maternity Home in Jalandhar City. My name is Dinesh Puri, and I have been involved with the work here for quite some time now. The hospital is a well-known place in the local area, especially for families who are expecting new arrivals. Being in a maternity home means there is a lot of emotion around all the time, from the nervousness of new fathers to the joy of grandparents. It is located right in the heart of Jalandhar, so it is easy for people to find us, though parking can sometimes be a bit of a struggle on the busy streets. The building itself has a lot of history and has seen many generations pass through its doors. I try to keep my part of things running smoothly, even when it gets hectic in the middle of the night. There are no fancy mission statements on the walls here; we just focus on making sure mothers and babies are okay. The staff is like a small family because we spend so much time together in high-pressure situations. We don't really go in for big advertisements. Most people come here because their mother or sister came here before them. It is a simple, honest way to run a hospital, and we just take each day as it comes, helping one family at a time through these big moments.
