Being located in the E-29/b Industrial Area means we are surrounded by a lot of grey buildings and heavy trucks. It’s not the kind of place you come for a nice walk. Most mornings start with the sound of shutters rolling up all down the street. At Bee Tee Impex, we mostly spend our time looking at invoices and making sure the crates are stacked in a way that won't make them fall over. The air always smells a bit like diesel and dust. Our office is just a small room with a couple of desks that have seen better days. There’s a tea stall just around the corner where everyone goes at eleven. If you’re looking for us, look for the faded blue door. We don’t have any big flashy signs out front. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves full of samples and boxes waiting to go somewhere else. Dealing with imports and exports sounds like it would be exciting, but it’s really just a lot of checking lists and waiting for phone calls. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up and we have to stay late under the humming lights. It's a plain kind of life. We’ve been in this industrial patch for years, and we know most of the other guys on the block. We just keep our heads down and get the boxes out the door to wherever they need to go next.
