In Jalandhar City, specifically over in Guru Nanak Nagar, things can get pretty lively. I’m located at number 9, right on Street No. 1. It’s a decent enough spot, easy to describe to anyone who knows this part of town. I have been working out of this space for some time now, and it has its own rhythm. The street isn't too wide, so you see the same neighbors and delivery guys every day. It's more of a personal setup here. Ajay Mahajan is the name on the door, but it’s really just about the daily tasks that need doing. I'm not one for a big team or a lobby full of shiny brochures. It’s usually just me and the paperwork or whatever project is on the desk at the moment. Jalandhar is a place where people value knowing who they are talking to, so I try to keep things straightforward. If someone rings the bell, I answer it. The office itself is simple, with just the things I need to get through the day's work. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we have a quick chat. It’s a very local way of doing things, nothing like those big offices you see in the newer parts of the city. I prefer it this way because it feels more real. You get to know the street sounds and the local weather pretty well from this window. It's just a regular day here. No fuss.
