The Jaisal Treat

We are over here on Bera road in Jaisalmer, not too far from the hotel golden haveli. It is a dry part of town and the wind carries a lot of dust most days, so we spend a good amount of time cleaning the front area of The Jaisal Treat. We started this place because we live nearby and wanted to do something of our own. The building isn't very big but it works for what we need. Most of the people who come in are either staying at the hotels around here or just passing through on their way to the main fort area. We have some tables and chairs that we bought locally and the kitchen is right in the back where you can hear us working. Jaisalmer can get very hot in the summer so we try to keep the inside as shaded as we can. It is just a simple spot and we don't do anything too fancy. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit but that is just how things are around here. We usually open up in the morning and stay late into the evening. There are a lot of tourists around 345001 and we see all kinds of faces every day. We just focus on getting the food out and making sure the floor is swept. It is a basic setup on Bera road and we like it that way. No big signs or flashing lights, just us.
