Running a place like this on Fort Vyasa Para keeps me pretty busy most days. It’s an old building, but it has a lot of character, and being right by the fort means there’s always something happening outside. I spend a lot of my time making sure the rooms are tidy and that the water is running like it should. It’s not a five-star place with gold curtains, but it’s clean and the beds are decent for a night’s sleep. Sometimes the stairs creak a bit, but that's just part of the charm, I guess. We have people coming in from all over, some staying for a night and others hanging around for a week. I usually sit near the entrance so I can see who's coming and going. My cousin helps out with the laundry and the cleaning when things get crowded. We don't have a big fancy menu, just simple stuff if someone gets hungry. The view of the fort is probably the best thing about being here. At night, it’s actually quite quiet once the street noise dies down. I’ve lived in this area my whole life, so I know the neighborhood inside out. If you need to know where to get a good meal or where the market is, I can usually point you in the right direction. It’s just a simple stay, nothing too flashy or expensive. We just try to be helpful and keep the place running. It works for us.
