We set up shop along Barmer Road. It’s a stretch of road that sees a lot of travelers passing through. Our idea was to combine a place to stay with some healthcare options, which might sound a bit different to some. We have the resort side where people come to rest and the healthcare side for those needing a bit more care. The landscape around here is quite open. It’s not like being in the middle of a crowded city. We have a fair amount of space to work with. The staff here mostly lives nearby. We spend our mornings checking in on the rooms and making sure the facility is clean. It’s a lot of walking back and forth. Some days are quieter than others. When the weather is nice, the outdoor areas feel good. We aren't trying to be one of those five-star places with gold taps. We just want a place where people feel okay staying. The healthcare part takes a bit more focus, making sure we have what people need. Barmer Road can be a bit lonely at night, but it’s peaceful. We’ve put a lot of work into the grounds over the years. It’s a practical business. We deal with laundry, food, and patient needs all at once. It keeps us on our toes. Sometimes the desert wind blows a lot of sand onto the porch, so we are always sweeping it off before the guests arrive.
