Chotu Tour & Travels

Chotu Tour & Travels is located right by the first gate of the fort, which is pretty much the center of everything here in Jaisalmer. If you walk toward the fort parking area, you will see us there. Being so close to the main gate means we see a lot of people and activity every single day. The sun hits the stone walls and it gets very hot in the afternoons, but we are usually around to talk to anyone who needs help with their travel plans. We are not a big company with a lot of money for advertising or fancy signs. Most of what we do is just based on knowing the area well and having lived here our whole lives. We started this because we wanted to work for ourselves and help people see the sights around the desert. Our office is a simple spot, mostly just a place to keep the logbooks and wait for the drivers to return. It gets quite dusty with all the cars and bikes going in and out of the parking lot, but that is just part of being near the fort. We handle tours and trips to different places around the region. We don't do any of those polished sales pitches you might hear elsewhere in bigger cities. If someone asks for a ride, we tell them if we have a car available and how much it will cost. We like to keep things very straightforward and honest with everyone who walks up to our desk near the parking.
