Out here in Adarsh Nagar, things stay pretty busy most of the time especially on Goving Marg. Our shop is at A-28 and it’s been there for a good bit now. It is just a local spot where people come when they need a haircut or a bit of a trim. We have the usual chairs and the big mirrors that have seen better days but they work just fine for what we do. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast during the morning rush and we are always sweeping it up between customers. You can smell the different soaps and the hair creams as soon as you step inside from the street. It’s not one of those silent, fancy places. There is usually some music playing or just the sound of us talking to the regulars who have been coming to Adarsh Nagar for years. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a quick break. Goving Marg can get quite loud with the scooters and cars passing by right outside the door at A-28. We don’t spend much time worrying about the decor or having fancy signs. Most of the people who come in live just a few streets away and they know where to find us. It’s just a normal hair shop where we try to do a decent job so people leave looking a bit better than when they walked in.
