This place is on 80 Feet Road in Sodala. Specifically, we are over in Govind Puri, which is a busy little pocket of Jaipur. Being a gents parlour, we mostly see the local men coming in after work or on their day off. The shop is simple. We have the usual chairs, the spray bottles, and the combs lined up. It’s the 302019 area, so it’s pretty central for many people. You can hear the bikes and cars zooming by on 80 Feet Road all day long. Sometimes the dust from the road comes in, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the glass. We don't have any fancy decorations or anything. Just the basics to get a shave or a haircut done properly. The guys who work here have been doing this for years. They don't say much unless you want to talk. Usually, the radio is playing some local station in the background. It’s a place where you can just sit and not worry about much for twenty minutes. We’ve got a couple of fans going to keep the heat away during the summer months. It gets really hot in Jaipur, so those fans are important for us and the customers. People from Govind Puri know us by name now. We’ve become a bit of a fixture on this street. It’s just honest work we do here every day from morning until late evening when we finally lock up and head back home.
