Yanas Beauty Parlour

The area around Kabir Marg is usually pretty busy, and Yanas Beauty Parlour is right in the middle of it at S-2-B. I started this place in Bani Park because I lived nearby and noticed there were not enough spots for a quick trim or a facial. The shop is not very big, but we have enough room for a couple of chairs and a washing station in the back. I spend a lot of time sweeping up hair and organizing the bottles of shampoo. It is just daily life here. My aunt comes in some afternoons to help with the threading when the college girls show up. We talk about the weather or the price of groceries while we work. I don't use any of those big marketing slogans. We just do the work. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun, but people in Bani Park know where we are. Sometimes the water pressure is a bit low, but we make it work. Most of the ladies who come in have been visiting for years, so it feels more like a kitchen table conversation than a business. We use standard products that you can find anywhere. It is just a local spot for people to get ready for a wedding or just feel a bit better on a Tuesday. I like the routine of opening the shutters and seeing who walks in today to get their hair done.
