We set up Wink Makeup Academy And Family Salon in Shyamnagar at Coral Cedar. It’s a big space, A 44-45. It’s easy to find because Manu Hospital is right there nearby. We do two things really—we have the salon part for families and then the academy part where people come to learn how to do makeup. It’s usually a mix of people coming for a haircut and students practicing with their brushes. It gets a bit crowded on the weekends when everyone wants to look nice for a wedding or a party. The academy side has lots of mirrors and lights. We’ve had a lot of girls come through here to learn the trade. It’s not always perfectly neat because there are always bottles and powders everywhere. But that’s how you learn. The family salon side is a bit more relaxed. Kids come in with their parents. We’ve been in this building for some time now. The walls are painted a neutral color. Sometimes we have music playing, but usually, it's just the sound of people talking. It’s a local business. We aren't part of some big chain. We just opened it here because we liked the area. It’s a decent neighborhood and the neighbors are friendly. If you’re around Shyamnagar and need a trim or want to see how the classes work, you just walk in. We don’t have a big fancy entrance, just the door at the address. Most days it is just us working away.
