I've been working here at 349 M.I. Road for a while now. The Wildcraft shop is right in the thick of things. Usually, the mornings are quiet before the traffic picks up. We spend most of the early hours just organizing the rucksacks and jackets that came in the day before. It gets a bit dusty with the windows open, so there’s a lot of wiping down shelves. People come in looking for something sturdy for a trip or just a new bag for school. We don't have a fancy script or anything when they walk through the door. Usually, it's just a nod or a quick hello while we keep on with whatever we're doing. The space isn't huge, but we make it work with what we have. Sometimes the light hits the floor just right in the afternoon, making the whole place feel a bit warmer. M.I. Road is always busy, so there's a constant sound of horns and people talking outside. It's just a regular workplace where we focus on getting things sorted. Some days are slow and we just sit around talking about what to have for lunch. Other days, it’s a rush and we’re trying to find a specific size in the back room. It’s a job like any other, really. We just show up, do the work, and head home when the sun goes down. Nothing more to it than that.
