Shipra Path is always moving, and we are right here at 34/29A in Mansarovar. It’s a small shop but we fit a lot of things inside. Mostly it’s boxes of phone cases and chargers hanging on the walls. I spend a lot of time behind the counter looking at small screws and broken screens. My eyes get tired by the evening because the parts are so tiny. People come in when their phones stop working or they need a new screen guard because they dropped theirs. It’s not a quiet place because the traffic outside is loud and the fan in the shop makes a bit of noise too. We keep a diary to note down what needs to be fixed and when the customer is coming back. Sometimes the internet is slow and it takes longer to do the recharges or downloads. It’s just a normal shop where people stop by on their way home. We have a few chairs for people to sit while they wait. The shelves are a bit crowded because we don’t like throwing things away that might be useful later. It’s just a regular day-to-day business for us here in Mansarovar. We see the same faces every day walking past the window. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the counter gets messy with tools and wires when we are busy with a difficult repair job that takes all afternoon.
