Our shop is out in Gram-Beelwari, right by the bus stand in Virat Nagar. Being near the bus stand means we see a lot of people coming and going. You hear the conductors shouting and the old buses pulling in all day. It’s a dusty place, but it’s home for us. The shop itself is small and basic. We have a couple of chairs and the tools we need. There isn't any air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that works most of the time. People from the village and travelers waiting for their ride stop in for a quick shave. It’s a practical spot. We don't spend money on fancy signs. People know where Vivek Hair Art is. It’s just the way it has always been in Virat Nagar. The mornings are usually the busiest when everyone is preparing for the day. I spend a lot of time sharpening the razors and making sure the towels are dry. It's a humble way to earn a living. Sometimes the cows wander close to the door, or the tea seller next door brings over a cup. We don't have any big plans, just to keep the shop open and serve the people who live around here. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but it gets the job done. If you are ever stuck at the Beelwari bus stand, you’ll see us there.
