Vishwakarma Hastkala Kendra

Being located in the Vishwakarma Industrial Area means there is always noise and movement around us. Our place, Vishwakarma Hastkala Kendra, is at Sb-43 on Shilp Bari Road No. 15. If you know where the BSNL Training Centre is, we are just right across from there. It is a busy part of the city. We spend our days working on various handicrafts. The air is often thick with the smell of raw materials and the sound of tools. It gets quite hot in the summers, especially inside the workshop, but we are used to it by now. We have been at this address for quite some time. Most people find us because they are already in the industrial area for other business. Road No. 15 can get a bit crowded with delivery vans and workers on cycles. We don't have a big fancy showroom or anything like that. It is mostly just the space where the work happens. Sometimes people pop in to see what we are making. We just keep our heads down and focus on the items we are putting together. It’s honest work and it takes a lot of patience to get the details right on every piece. We see the BSNL trainees walking around during their breaks. It is just a regular spot in a hardworking neighborhood where everyone is trying to get things done. We take our lunch breaks together on some old wooden crates. It is a humble way to live. Sometimes we share a few jokes to pass the time.
