Vinay Handicrafts is located at 3637, Kalyanji Ka Rasta, right at the 2nd Cross in the busy Chandpole Bazar. This part of the city is always alive with the sound of craftsmen working and shoppers looking for a bargain. We deal in all kinds of local handicrafts that people in this region have been making for a very long time. Our shop is filled to the brim with all sorts of items, from small decorative trinkets to much larger carved pieces. It’s a bit cluttered and dusty, but that’s the real charm of an authentic handicraft store in the heart of Jaipur. We work directly with the local artisans who live in the surrounding colonies. Often they come in with their new work finished in the mornings and we sit down to settle up. We don't have a glossy catalog or a fancy website. If you want to see what we have in stock, you just have to come by the shop and spend some time looking through the shelves. The bazar is a maze of narrow lanes, and we’ve been in this particular spot for many years now. It gets incredibly crowded during the festival seasons when everyone is out buying gifts. We don't do much in terms of formal advertising. Most of our customers find us by simply walking past our door or through word of mouth from their friends. We truly enjoy the work because it keeps us connected to the traditional arts of our region. It’s a simple operation.
