Vikram Hair Arts

Vikram Hair Arts is located right near Vidha Mandir on Bansur Road in Kotputli. It is a busy area with kids going to school and people heading out to the main market. Our shop is nothing special to look at from the outside, but we take our work seriously. We have a couple of large mirrors that have seen better days and some chairs that we keep repairing whenever they break. The life of a barber in a place like this is mostly about consistency. You show up, you open the shop, and you wait for the regulars to arrive. We use a lot of spray bottles to keep the hair damp while we work. Sometimes the wind blows the dust in from Bansur Road, and we have to stop and wipe everything down again. We have a small radio that we keep on a shelf, and it usually plays the news or some local programs. People in Kotputli are hardworking, and they just want a decent haircut so they can look clean for their jobs or for a wedding. We try to give them that. It is just how we make our living and we have been in this same spot for a long time now.
