Vijay Hair Art And Gents Parlour

Our shop is at Plot No-24 in Gali No-2, which is in the Tonk Pathak area of Jaipur. It is tucked away in the lanes of Adarsh Nagar, so it is a bit quieter than being on the main road. We call it Vijay Hair Art and Gents Parlour. It is a small operation. We have been in this specific alley for a long time. The shop is basically one room with a couple of chairs and a big window that looks out onto the street. We see the same neighbors walking their dogs or going to the store every day. Inside, we have some basic wooden cabinets where we keep our towels and scissors. The walls are a light blue color that has faded over the years. We have a small radio that usually plays local stations. It isn't a place with a lot of fancy decorations. We just have the things we need to do haircuts and shaves for the men who live around here. Sometimes the kids come in after school and we give them a quick trim. It feels very much like a community spot. We open up early in the morning after having our breakfast. The light in the morning is the best time to work. During the summer, we keep the door open to get a bit of a breeze, even if it brings in some of the Jaipur heat. It is a simple life and we like the routine of it all.
