Vickys Hair Saloon

Vickys Hair Saloon has been at this spot near the Sanganer bus stand for a good while. Being right by the 11 No. bus stand on Diggi Road means there is never a quiet moment. You can hear the conductors shouting and the engines idling all day long. I usually open up early because there are always people getting off the early buses who want to look decent before they head into the city for work. The shop is small and can get a bit cramped when three or four people are waiting on the bench, but nobody seems to mind much. We have a few old magazines lying around, though most people just look out at the traffic while they wait. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so I have to sweep every hour or so to keep it from looking too messy. I get my tea from the stall just a few steps away, and sometimes the boys from the bus stand come in just to sit and chat for a bit. We use the basic stuff here, simple soaps and standard hair creams. It is not one of those polished places you see in the malls. It is just a regular saloon for regular people who need a trim. The mirrors have a few spots on them that won't come off, and the chairs are a bit stiff, but they do the job just fine.
