Vicky Hair Salons is tucked away in Chandpole Bazar, specifically on Jaat Kay Kuay Ka Rasta. If you know Jaipur, you know how busy the bazar gets with all the shoppers and bikes. Our shop is just a small space where we’ve been working for a long time. It’s not one of those big malls; it’s just a local spot. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but they hold a lot of memories. I remember when we first started, the street was a bit quieter. Now, there’s always noise from the market outside. We spend most of our day standing by the chairs, scissors moving. It’s hard on the legs, but it’s what we do. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in because they know where we are. Usually, someone is sitting on the bench outside waiting their turn. We talk about the local news or the cricket match while we work. It’s a very normal way to spend the day. The shop stays open late because Chandpole never really sleeps. Sometimes we share tea with the shopkeeper next door when it’s slow. It’s a tight-knit community here. Nothing special, just a place to get your hair cut and maybe hear a bit of gossip from the neighborhood. It’s just how things are at Vicky Hair Salons every day.
